Resolution and The Space
Hi All,
Well it’s been a while since we’ve spoken to you; let us bring you all up to date.
Since the success of Neophilia’s Summer Sampler back in August, we’ve had various sparks of interest come from various ventures including The Space, where the sampler was held.
We are going to hold a professional ballet class on December 3rd at 8.00. This will be no ordinary ballet class (well of course not, we are Neophilia after all!!!) It will be danced to popular music, from Guns N’ Roses to Justin Timberlake. There will be professional lighting and fancy dress is optional!! It costs £6; this also includes a free drink (alcoholic of course!) from the Hubbub Bar upstairs! (See the invite below!)
Come along and we promise you’ll have fun and enjoy yourself; surely this is what dance is all about anyway!
On a separate note the most exciting date in our diary at the moment is drawing near to us. You may remember Bruce’s review from The Summer Sampler saying that we were applying for the choreographic platform,’ Resolution’ at the Place? Well, much to our surprise, we were accepted! Our performance date is currently set for February 3rd. We will be performing along with two other companies as part of a triple bill, ‘Dark, Ground, Coffee Dance’ and ‘Belinda Chapman Dance Company’ (a currently dancing with New Adventures in Motion Pictures.)
We’re extremely excited and feel that we will be able to sink our teeth into it…watch this space! We’ll keep you informed of our exciting, but no doubt stressful progress as we go along! Rehearsals kick off next week after we had a lovely meeting with our dancers on Sunday! Pictures to follow…
Many thanks to Bruce how has been incredibly supportive to us over the past few months, any advice at this stage is invaluable. So for now think funky, ballet class with a sexy twist (and a gin and tonic if you must!) and Resolution. Feel free to pop along to the space on the 3rd and don those shoes!
