"The Royal Ballet in House records the first three years of Royal Ballet performances in the newly refurbished Royal Opera House. A large part of the repertory has been photographed by Bill Cooper and recorded for posterity. Over 200 full colour pictures of 43 ballets are featured, including masterpieces by the great choreographers Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan, who were instrumental in moulding the company's repertory as well as new works by leading choreographers of today."

The book covers both classical and modern ballets including, The Nutcracker, Manon, Don Quixote and Christopher Whelan's acclaimed Tryst, and has an introduction by Sir Anthony Dowell. Among the principals and soloists featured are Carlos Acosta, Darcy Bussell, Alina Cojocaru, Jonathon Cope, Sylvie Guilleme, Johan Kobborg, Irek Mukhamedov and Tamara Rojo.
