In June Renee Renouf and Richard Finkelstein covered the Jackson International Ballet Competition for us.

Put like that it sounds perhaps encouraging but it does no justice whatsoever to what transpired with Renee writing, checking and filing 39 pieces over the 2 weeks. And they were all full length too!. Richard took hundreds of pictures - he's much in demand - and we have over 30 of them: nearly as good as being in Mississippi even.

Renee was particularly keen to capture the Jackson experience in the round and so we have 15 interviews with jurors, videographers, evaluators, Artistic Directors, logistics and transportation folks and the Chairman of the Board.

Renee and Richard are now in recovery - I don't think I've ever seen such sterling effort put into covering an event anywhere. In the years to come some of the dancers reported on will become very big names - just remember you heard it here first!
