Formed in NY in 1974, the Trocks are an all male company who are totally committed to doing the ballet classics in all their richness. You get tutus, big eyelashes, pathos by the bucket load and great dollops of gorgeously silly fun.

Their secret is that they appeal on several levels. For those who know little about dance or ballet they are savagely fun entertainment, probably confirming many's worst fears about the pretentiousness of it all. For dance lovers however the company really does knows its stuff and there are many references and in jokes to be found amidst the slapstick. In reality they actually care deeply about the 'art' and are truly excellent dancers in their own right.
