What are the criteria for this competition? Why aren't there any from the Royal Ballet School there? Am I right in thinking that Darcey Bussell won a prize there at 15?

If you read the info on their website you'll find the following:
"The career springboard
Candidates not selected for the final take part in an audition class attended by school and company directors. All participants thus have an opportunity to be seen by and to come into contact with key personalities in the dance world."

This is part of the answer to your question. The Royal Ballet School students (Upper School), the POBS , Vaganova students are all already in the best possible place to be seen by Company Directors,...

Hold on. I do believe RBS had an entry this year... they've certainly had several winners in the past few years. (NYCB school is actually SAB).

ENB had an entry. I do not note an RBS candidate on the Lausanne list?

They didn't have a selected candidate. Someone may have been put forward, but then not selected. We don't know. Each year, some schools have candidates, and some don't. The range of candidates is growing as the competition becomes ever-more international. There are a multitude of reasons why a school may or may not put forth a candidate, and why an individual candidate and/or their family may or may not want to go.
