Includes interviews with Nureyev, Fonteyn and Keith Mitchell

08.15-10.15 Sky Movies Premier 1 - Film : Center Stage (2000) - Dancers at a famous dance school push themselves to the point of exhaustion in the hope of gaining a place at a prestigious ballet company. They quickly find that life there is as much about politics as dance. Stars Amanda Schull, Susan May Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Peter Gallagher, Donna Murphy, Debra Monk, Ethan Stiefel, Sascha Radetsky, Julie Kent and features dancers from the American Ballet Theatre (Repeated at 16.00)

11.05-13.00 TCM - Film : Meet Me in Las Vegas (1956) - Song and dance flick about a beautiful girl who has the qualities of lady luck. Chuck Redwell is a gambling cowboy who discovers that he's lucky at the wheel if he hold hands with dancer Marie. However, Marie doesn't like to hold hands with him, at least not in the beginning. Includes cameo appearances by many stars of the day, including Peter Lorre and Frank Sinatra - who wins a bucket of money from a one-armed bandit as the girl with the magical touch passes by. Stars Dan Dailey, Cyd Charisse, Agnes Moorehead, Lili Darvas, Jim Backus and Jerry Colonna

13.00-14.50 TCM - Film : Gaby (1956) - Romantic tale of an English ballerina and an American paratrooper who fall in love during World War II. Tragically, before their love is consummated, the paratrooper is reported missing in action and the dancer has relationships with several men to console herself, blind to the fact that the soldier is in fact alive. Stars Leslie Caron, John Kerr, Cedric Harwicke, Taina Elg, Margalo Gillmore and Scott Marlowe

23.15-00.00 Artsworld - The Seven Deadly Sins - The best of Australia's contemporary dance companies explore each sin. Lust by One Extra Company with choreography by Graeme Watson is filmed underwater and the dancers were taught diving techniques for the ballet ear hidden weights in their costumes. Sloth by the Meryl Tankard Company with choreography by Meryl Tankard is set in the rugged terrain of a quarry site near Canberra, and is a memorable marriage of dance and camera artistry. Wrath by the Chrissie Parrott Dance Company with choreography by Chrissie Parrott is performed in the solitary confinement cell of the old Freemantle Prison. Envy by the Australian Choreographic Ensemble with choreography by Paul Mercurio is filmed on Sydney's famous Bondi beach and at that location's skate ramp. Avarice by the Australian Dance Theatre with choreography by Leigh Warren is filmed in Adelaide in one of the palatial gaming rooms and in the long aisles of poker machines. Pride by the Bangarra Dance Theatre with choreography by Stephen Page is portrayed in a Sydney nightclub setting and on the beach at Turimeta, one of Sydney's spectacular northern beaches. Finally, Gluttony by the Sydney Dance Company with choreography by Kai Tai Chan was filmed in the ABC's French's Forrest Studio in one continuous shot

Tuesday 29th October

01.25-03.10 Sky Movies Premier 3 - Film : Bootmen (2000) - Drama about a young man from an Australian industrial town who is determined to make a career in tap dancing. With most of the local men working at a steel mill, the aspiring dancer faces opposition from his brother, who tries to convince him to embark on a more practical business venture. Their already fraught relationship reaches breaking point when both brothers fall for the same woman

20.00-21.35 Artsworld - Giselle - Mats Ek's modern reworking of this classic tale of love & tragedy. With it's imaginative and surreal designs by Marie-Louise de Geer Bergenstråhle, Ek produces a moving and innovative piece, including the replacement of the supernatural element in the second act by the harsh reality of a lunatic asylum. Stars Luc Bouy as Albrecht, Yvan Auzely as Hilarion, Vanessa Mcintosh as Bathilde, Lena Wannergren as Myrtha and Ek's wife Ana Laguna in the title role

Thursday 31st October

22.50-23.50 Artsworld - The House of Bernarda Alba - Mats Ek's work based on Federico Garcia Lorca's 1944 play, a tale of mourning, love and jealousy between a mother and her five daughters set in rural Spain at the turn of last century. Ek adds a twist of irony in casting a male, Luc Bouy in the lead role allowing the dominance of his physical presence develop. Set to predominantly Spanish flamenco music with costumes by Marie-Louise de Geer Bergenstråhle
