Opening night news - the original 4 nights have all sold out and by popular demand a new performance has been added on the 14th February. Details below.

The Artists Development Initiative presents an evening of new work by choreographers Cathy Marston and Tom Sapsford. 6/ 8/ 9/ 12/ 14 February 2001, 8pm. Clore Studio Upstairs Box Office 020 7304 4000

Cathy Marston, currently performing with the Henri Oguike Dance Company, and Tom Sapsford, first artist with the Royal Ballet, are both graduates of the Royal Ballet School: Whilst studying there they shared amongst other things a passion for choreography and a flat off the Fulham Road; nine years later they are again cohabiting, this time in an evening of new choreography , at the experimental and exciting stage of the Clore Studio Upstairs.

Both choreographers have been working with dancers of the Royal Ballet Company to create their new works. All the artists involved have worked in their free time towards this project and it is hoped that the evening will display other facets to the performers talents than those which we are accustomed to see. Of course the chance to see them perform in such an intimate environment is, anyway, not one to miss!

After successful works for the Royal Ballets Dance Bites tours, Marston's first piece for the Clore explores time and relationships; the past and present as shifting dimensions of a multiple reality. Designed by Ben Maher, the cast will include Rachel Rawlins (First Soloists), Edward Watson, Ricardo Cervera, Hubert Esskakow, Laura Morera (soloists), Jenny Tattersall, Christina Arestis, Tom Whitehead and Martin Harvey (first artists).

Sapsford makes his second piece for the Clore, following his hugely successful Live at Carnegie Hall. This time he turns his focus to the popular culture of nineteenth century Music Hall. Tom will be collaborating with composer Jason Carr and designer Kate Ford and the piece will be performed by Luke Heydon (principal character artist), Sian Murphy (first artist), Samantha Raine and Naomi Reynolds (artists).
